Interning In Colorado- Winter 2018

Rosston Kennedy

HOWDY!

My internship has been spent with the team at Resort Delivery, a division of East West Partners and its umbrella of development and hospitality companies.  During my time here I have had the privilege of working closely with resorts all throughout Colorado. My favorite perk of the job is getting to work with these resorts in different cities such as Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Steamboat Springs and Aspen. Working for Resort Delivery has a variety of duties and day to day tasks and has helped me learn much about the field of tourism, and myself. I am extremely grateful for my time here and all that I have learned. In addition, I am excited to say that it is because of the Aggie Network I received this experience and I have high gratitude towards Texas A&M, my boss, and lastly our wonderful staff within the College Agriculture and Life Sciences.

LATEST EXPEDITIONS

I chose this internship because I knew it would be fun in and out of the office. I have always loved skiing and being in the outdoors, and when I found out I had an opportunity to live in Vail, I jumped on it immediately. My expectations of having a great work and play ratio have been met. The experiences I have had in and out of the office have been life changing.

Benefits

A huge portion of my job is driving. One benefit is I am provided a company car for deliveries and the gas is free. Other benefits include:
  1. Employee housing for 600 a month
  2. Half price ski pass
  3. $16.00 hourly wage

Winter X-Games

I was fortunate enough to check off one of my bucket list items by attending the Winter X-Games in Aspen with one of my best friends. This is the main highlight of my time here.

Good Bull

As mentioned earlier, I had this opportunity because of the Aggie Network. My boss being an "Old Ag" has been a great mentor and created a fun work experience. On our slow days we were able to watch the Aggies lose our bowl game, and some tough basketball games. We still yelled for them as if we were there and spread some Good Bull to our co-workers.
